Sunday - Day 1 (The Journey to Latvia)

A 4:45am meet isn't that bad when you know you will be travelling with colleagues who you know reasonably well and have the ability to make you smile, laugh and learn new things. A bonus is meeting new people on your journey that can do the same and that somes up the folks on this visit.

Yes, the journey was long, 12 hours.  Yes, the journey resulted in a sick bag casualty, not me and yes, at the airport LSh had the heaviest bag.

The hotel is lovely http://www.alberthotel.lv/ and the view from the hotel bar is magnificent. Hotel Bar? But we're only on paragraph 3 day one! A neccessary trip to get our bearings and admire the night time Riga sky line!

Fantastic food, good rooms and already feels like a week away with good friends. 10 am meet with our host tomorrow and excited at what  the day will bring.
